The bonus comes in two parts:

Fees
Popular Everyday Checking account has a $10 monthly fee that can be waived by fulfilling the following requirements:
- $1,000 in average monthly checking balance OR
- Regular monthly direct deposit of a minimum aggregate amount of $750
There’s also a $25 early account termination fee if you close account within 6 months.
They have a $2 Paper Statement fee as well, so make sure you enroll in electronic statements.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
This is a great bonus that can net you $500 in total if you have $10K to deposit in the account and keep it there for 2 months. But it has its limitations since it is only for NY, NJ and South FL residents and restricted to once per lifetime. I don;t have any data points if the lifetime rule is enforced, so let me know if you have any positive data points.
