JetBlue Plans Huge LAX Expansion, Pulls Out Of LGB
JetBlue has long been the largest airline out of Long Beach, though has also operated flights out of Burbank, Los Angeles, and Ontario, so has had quite the diversified presence in the greater Los Angeles area. The airline will soon be changing its strategy, as JetBlue will be cancelling all flights out of Long Beach as of October 6, 2020. With JetBlue pulling out of Long Beach, the new strategy is for JetBlue to make LAX its primary base of operations in the greater Los Angeles area.
3 people test positive for Covid-19 after taking Delta flight
Three people have tested positive for coronavirus on Friday after taking a Delta Air Lines flight from Atlanta to Albany, New York. Flight 4815 left on July 6, a release from the Rensselaer County Health Department said. The passengers were not symptomatic on the flight, but began showing symptoms on July 7.
American Airlines flight attendant, 61, dies suddenly while working
An American Airlines flight attendant who had worked for the carrier for 20 years died at work Sunday, according to a joint letter signed by officials at the airline and the Association of Professional Flight Attendants. Feinstein said Tormes and his wife were working Flight 1296 from Indianapolis to Dallas when he fell ill. It diverted to St. Louis for the medical emergency, landing at 8:05 a.m. CDT Sunday. A new crew was called in and the plane took off for Dallas that afternoon.
