Necker Island Opens on Dec. 1, Moskito Island in 2021

Virgin Limited Edition is a collection of luxury properties owned by Sir Richard Branson. One of the most popular properties, Necker Island in British Virgin Islands, is now set to re-open next month after two years of construction following Hurricane Irma in 2018.

Necker Island will reopen to guests on December 1, the same day the territory’s borders reopen to international visitors. The luxury island resort’s restoration includes a new Bali Hi complex, two additional guest rooms and the installation of three giant wind turbines, said company officials in a statement. This island is popular because besides a price tag of over $5K per night, it can also be booked with points. A week stay will cost you 1.5 million Virgin Atlantic miles. You can transfer American Express Membership Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards, Citi ThankYou Rewards to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at a 1:1 ratio.

Additionally, in 2021 Virgin Limited will debut new British Virgin Islands property Moskito Island. The island is home to the Branson Estate, which will now be available for rental. It will also feature new “uber luxury” private estates available for rental. Moskito Island is located about two miles away from Necker Island.
