Book Richard Branson’s Private Necker Island for 577K Chase Points
Virgin Red has made one of the most aspirational points redemptions a little more affordable, giving members the chance to stay on Sir Richard Branson’s famous Necker Island in the British Virgin Islands.
Normally you need to redeem a whopping 2,000,000 Virgin Points for one week for two people. But now a shorter stay is available and is just a bit more affordable for those who are not point millionaires. Let’s go over the details
Offer Details
Book a 3-night all-inclusive stay for two people for 750,000 Virgin Points. Necker Island is typically reserved for ultra-wealthy travelers, celebrities, and private buyouts, but select dates each year are available for individual room bookings.

If you have Chase Ultimate Rewards points, the current 30% transfer bonus to Virgin Atlantic makes this redemption significantly more attainable. Instead of transferring the full 750,000 Virgin Points, you’d only need 576,923 Chase Ultimate Rewards points. That’s still a huge number of points, but far less painful than transferring the full amount.
Redemption options:
- Standard season (1 January – 19 December 2026)
- Minimum-three-night stay: 750,000 Virgin Points
- Extra night (each): 250,000 Virgin Points
- Festive Season (20 December – 26 December 2026)
- Minimum-three-night stay: 900,000 Virgin Points
- Extra night (each): 300,000 Virgin Points

What Is Necker Island and Is It Worth It?
Necker Island is Richard Branson’s 74-acre private island in the British Virgin Islands. The island is famous for its white-sand beaches, luxury accommodations, water sports, wildlife, gourmet dining, and appearances by Branson himself. Guests enjoy a Great House Room stay, all-inclusive experience with all meals and all drinks (including alcohol) included, and a boat transfer to and from Beef Island/Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS).
This certainly isn’t a redemption for everyone and I have never been there myself. For 577,000 Chase points, many travelers could book multiple business class flights or several luxury Hyatt stays. However, if staying on one of the world’s most exclusive private islands is on your bucket list, this can be an incredible opportunity.
Necker Island cash rates normally run between $5,000 and $6,500 per night, making this one of the most aspirational uses of Virgin Points available.
Guru’s Wrap-up
Virgin Red’s Necker Island redemption is about as aspirational as points travel gets. The ability to book a 3-night all-inclusive stay for 750,000 Virgin Points is expensive, but the current 30% Chase transfer bonus reduces the cost to about 577,000 Ultimate Rewards points. It’s also a cheaper price per night when compared to the usual price tag of 2 million points for the week.
If you’ve been saving up transferable points for a true bucket-list experience, spending a few days on Richard Branson’s private island may be one of the most unique redemptions available.
