M&T Bank Business Checking Bonus, Get $400 with $5K Deposit

M&T has a new business checking account bonus. You can earn up to $800 actually when you open an M&T Tailored Business Checking account and M&T Merchant Services account with qualifying activities. But you will get $400 just for the Business Checking. Let’s see how this M&T Bank Business Checking Bonus works.

Offer

To get the $400 bonus you need to:

Request Your Coupon and bring it with you to a local M&T branch to open your account.
Open a new M&T Tailored Business Checking Account between 1/18/21 and 3/15/21
Have an Average Ledger Balance in the Account of at least $5,000 for the third full calendar month after the Account was opened.

Checking Bonus will be credited to the account within 45 days after the end of the third full calendar month after the account was opened. The Checking Bonus is reportable for tax purposes and is not available to employees of M&T Bank or any of its affiliates.

Eligibility

This offer is only available to residents of CT, DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA and WV.
The Checking Bonus is not available to customers who have had a non-personal M&T checking account within the previous 90 days or existing customers with a non-personal M&T checking account.
Only one Checking Bonus will be awarded per customer regardless of the number of new M&T Tailored Business Checking accounts opened.

Fees

The M&T Tailored Business Checking account has a $20 monthly fee that is waived with one of the following options:

Maintain a $10,000 monthly average ledger balance
Maintain $25,000 average ledger balance between checking & savings
Make $2,000 in purchases on a linked M&T business credit card
M&T bank merchant services account proceeds deposited

A $50 Account Closure Fee applies if the account is closed within the time period referenced in the Commercial Deposit Account Fee Schedule.

A good offer for a business checking account. You need to have $5,000 in the account by the end of the third month to get the $400 bonus. You also need $10,000 balance to avoid the $20 monthly fee. Then there’s the additional $400 for an M&T Merchant Services account, but I’m not sure what fees come with it. If you have any experience with it, please let me know.
