Amex is offering a new transfer bonus. You can now get 30% more Flying Club miles when you transfer Membership Rewards points through 9/12/18. Flying Club is the loyalty program of Virgin Atlantic. This is the same deal that was offered back in October of last year.

The normal transfer rate between the two programs is 1:1 so this bonus gives you 1,300 Virgin Atlantic Miles for every 1,000 Membership Rewards points that you transfer.

Virgin Atlantic miles are not the most valuable, especially after last year’s devaluation but it could still be useful to some that have a specific redemption in mind, such as ANA First Class. On average they are valued at 1.4-1.5 cpp.

American Express also has a 25% bonus for transferring points to JetBlue.
