Chase Cardholders Can Now Move Credit Limits Online

Chase is introducing a new option for cardholders to move credit between their accounts online. Chase cardholders could already move credit between account by calling in or secure message. But being able to do this online yourself is probably easier more preferable.

This new option is only showing up in select accounts, so maybe it’s being rolled out slowly.

How to Move Chase Credit Limit Online

In order to see this new feature, you need to log in online or through the Chase app. Then select one of your Chase credit cards (this will be the card you’re moving credit from) and click “More”. In the drop down menu you will see “Move credit line” if your account is eligible.

Even if you don’t see the option in the “More” menu, you can try this direct link. You will then see the following screen:

Click get started, and you will see the credit cards where you can move credit to.

There seem to be some limitations to this feature, such as:

  • Maximum of three credit limit reallocations for every 30 days.
  • You might not be able to move credit from/to all cards.
  • Move credit in $100 increments.
  • Current balances and other card criteria determine the amount of credit you can move.
  • You can’t move credit if one or more of your cards is less than a year old.
