This is a targeted bonus that requires a personalized offer code. In the past it was possible to chat with the bank and get a reservation number but I don’t think that works anymore. I tried it last time this offer was around and I was unsuccessful, so I’m assuming it will be hard if not impossible to get a reservation number, unless you received the offer directly. The offer is meant for those who receive a mailer directly to their home.

$400 for a checking account is a great bonus, especially with these easy requirements. You should definitely go for this one if you’re in one of the eligible states and you haven’t had an account in the last 12 months and have a reservation number. For everyone else there’s occasionally some other bonuses of up to $300 bonus. Just keep in mind that KeyBank is very Chex sensitive.
