Amex Lifetime Rule
American Express restricts you to just one sign up bonus per credit card product. That’s once per lifetime. Even if you previously had the card and didn’t receive a bonus (maybe during your pre-churning days), you won’t be eligible for a bonus on the same card.
Sometimes you’re able able to get a bonus again if you’ve had a card many years ago. & years could count as “lifetime”. But the best way to be check what cards you’ve had in the past, as per Amex, would be to just get a list of cards you have and had.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
Bonuses for Platinum cards are the highest bonuses ever offered, while the bonuses for the Gold cards are pretty close (we’ve seen the same offer with a $100 statement credit).
The offers for the personal and business Gold Delta cards could be more appealing to most peaople since the annual fee is waived the first year. But the Platinum Delta cards also make sense for some, since you get 10K more SkyMiles, 10K MQM and $50 more in statement credit for an annual fee of $195.
