IHG Hikes Max Award Rates to 300K+ Points?

The IHG One Rewards program has no award chart, but at least they did have a cap on award for their top properties. You would normally expect to pay up to 120,000 points per night for Standard rooms.

But over the last couple of days, that cap on awards seems to have jumped to over 300,000 points per night. Regent Santa Monica Beach is the most expensive property that I came across with some nights priced at a whopping 306,000 points.

In fact for most of December, rates are close to 300K per night at this property.

And that’s not the only hotel that is showing rates well above 120K per night. Other properties include ANA InterContinental Beppu Resort & Spa, InterContinental Tokyo Bay and possibly others.

However, I’m seeing some rates go back to 120K after first showing 200K or more. So maybe this is just a pricing error? Let me know if you see any of these crazy prices!
