Huntington 5 Checking account comes with a $5 monthly fee. You can avoid the monthly checking maintenance fee for any statement period on this checking account when you keep a total relationship balance of at least $5,000 in a combination of deposits held directly with the bank or investments made through our affiliate, The Huntington Investment Company. Eligible deposits are this checking account and your personal money market, savings, certificate of deposit (CD), and individual retirement (IRA) accounts.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
This is a nice Huntington Bank bonus that we have seen in the past. Doesn’t require a direct deposit, just any regular deposit will do. It’s worth going for the better bonus. You get $200 but you will pay about $30 in fees since it won’t make sense to keep $5,000 in there to waive the fee. That’s $170 with minimal effort. If you live in any of the eligible states, it should be worth it.
