[Expired] Hudson River Community Credit Union, $250 Checking Account Bonus (NY)

Hudson River Community Credit Union has a $250 checking account bonus available. The account must be opened in branch and they only have a few of those; in Corinth, Glens Falls, Cohoes, Hudson Falls and Troy in NY.

Bonus Requirement

To receive the $250 bonus:

Open a checking or savings account, subject to approval;
Perform 4 HRCCU Visa ® Debit Card purchases within 60 days; AND
Have your direct deposit made to this account within 60 days. There must be a minimum of 2 direct deposits totaling $500 or more made to this account.

Your direct deposit needs to be an electronic deposit of your paycheck, pension or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government.

Upon validation of the requirements, HRCCU will deposit the bonus into your account within 10 business days. Bonuses are considered interest and will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT

Offer is not available to existing HRCCU members or those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance.

Fees

The Choice Checking account has no monthly fees.

If the checking or savings account are closed or direct deposits are terminated by the member or HRCCU within six months, bank will deduct the bonus amount.

This is a very good bonus, but it is very limited since you have to go into a branch to open the account. If you live in the are this is a no-brainer if you can manage the direct deposits.
