How to Watch ‘Thursday Night Football’ on Amazon
The NFL’s “Thursday Night Football” package has a new home this season. After a four-year run at Fox, Amazon Prime acquired exclusive rights to the programming. Amazon will pay the NFL $1 billion per year through the 2033 season. The partnership marks the league’s first all-digital rights agreement.
15 games are part of the package for this season, with the first Thursday game of the season being excluded. Los Angeles Chargers vs. Kansas City Chiefs was the debut of “Thursday Night Football” on Amazon. How to watch NFL games on Amazon

Amazon will be the exclusive home of “Thursday Night Football” from 2022 through 2033. Games will be televised free in the local markets of the teams that are playing. Out-of-market viewers will be able to watch “Thursday Night Football” with an Amazon Prime or Prime Video subscription. You can sign up now and get a 30-day free trial, which means that you can watch 4 or 5 Thursday night games for free. Amazon Prime costs $14.99 a month or $139 a year. You also choose just the Prime Video subscription if you don’t care about the other Amazon Prime perks, and pay $8.99 per month. There’s also a cheaper version for students.
However, there’s also a way to watch these games for free on Amazon’s live gaming platform Twitch, as part of the tech company’s multi-year deal with the NFL. No account is needed to watch Thursday Night Football on Twitch: Simply go to the Prime Video account on Twitch, hit play and start streaming. You can watch on Apple and Android phones and tablets, on XBox and PlayStation game consoles and on Apple TV, Android TV (Google TV) and Amazon Fire TV devices. There is also a native Twitch app for LG’s smart TV users. Twitch is not available on Roku devices.
