Google/Huawei Class Action Lawsuit
The lawsuit claims that Nexus 6P smartphones unexpectedly shut down and became trapped in “boot loop” cycles. The suit was filed in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, and it claims Google and Huawei have never publicly admitted there were issues with the Nexus 6P, even while they continued to sell the phone. Both companies have denied that the device is defective but have agreed to pay a settlement of $9.75 million.

How Much Do I Get?
The proposal currently states that those who are eligible for the settlement could be paid up to $400 for their faulty device, while those who received a Pixel XL in a prior warranty exchange program would only be eligible for up to $10. Those who submit proper documentation for the bug will receive the most settlement money, while those without may be eligible for up to $75.
