Earn Miles When Selling or Buying a Home

Earn Miles When Selling or Buying a Home

Earn Miles When Selling or Buying a Home

If you are in the market to buy or sell a home, then check out this program that can earn you lots of miles in the process. Make sure to focus on interest rates and fees associated with such a large purchase or sale, and not the miles. But with everything else being equal, earning miles can be a nice bonus.

This real estate rewards program is called Miles from Home. It offers consumers 2,000 AAdvantage miles for every $10,000 of the sales and/or purchase price of a home when working with an agent from one of Realogy’s top brands. That means that you have to work with an agent to get the bonus miles, so hopefully that doesn’t add any extra fees.

Offer

American Airlines and Realogy, the largest residential real estate service provider in the country, have teamed up to create a real estate rewards program called Miles from Home that offers consumers 2,000 AAdvantage® miles for every $10,000 of the sales and/or purchase price of a home when working with an agent from one of Realogy’s top brands.

Here’s how it works:

  • Enroll in the Program: Sign-up online or call 1-866-466-3010 to speak to a Miles From Home® Coordinator, no obligations, to help understand your homebuying/selling needs.
  • Connect with an Agent: Get introduced to a top local real estate agent from one of the most recognized brands in real estate, including Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, CENTURY 21, Coldwell Banker, ERA and Corcoran.
  • Earn Miles: Earn 2,000 AAdvantage® miles for every $10,000 after buying and/or selling a home.

You can check out the handy miles calculator on the bottom of this page to determine how many miles someone can earn based on the home price. For example, selling your home for $500,000 would earn you 100,000 AAdvantage® miles. If you then purchased a new home in the program for $400,000, you would earn another 80,000 AAdvantage miles.

Guru’s Wrap-up

This program makes it possible to earn miles when selling or buying a home, but you should see this as an added bonus. It can potentially be a useful program for those who are already working with the eligible realtors such as CENTURY 21, Coldwell Banker etc.. But again, you should be focusing on other things, such as fees and interest, and not the 100,000 or so miles that you could earn.

Let me know if you plan to take advantage of this program, or if you think it makes sense for you.
