DoorDash Starts Delivering Snacks, Household Supplies and More

DoorDash is an app that delivers already prepared meals from restaurants. But now they are expanding their services to include deliveries from convenience stores. DoorDash will start delivering goods from 7-Eleven, Wawa and other convenience stores to Americans who are mostly stuck at home for the foreseeable future due to the coronavirus oubreak.

More than 1,800 stores throughout the country are joining the delivery platform, with more to follow in the coming weeks. Now you can order delivery for essential products like toilet paper, cleaning supplies, snacks and more.

To order from a convenience store, tap the “Convenience” category tab at the top of the app. DoorDash offers a no-contact drop-off option, which everyone should be using.

In some instances, there’s also a pickup option, though that depends on availability. Here are the items that show up for a 7-Eleven delivery for example.

Bloomberg says that the San Francisco-based startup began testing the sale of paper towels and other packaged goods earlier this year and decided to accelerate the rollout due to the coronavirus pandemic.
