Disney $50M YouTube TV and DirecTV Stream Settlement
Disney has agreed to pay $50 million to resolve claims that it violated federal antitrust laws and state consumer-protection laws by allegedly engaging in conduct that raised prices for certain live-TV streaming subscriptions.
The settlement covers eligible purchasers of YouTube TV and several versions of DirecTV’s streaming live-TV service between April 1, 2019, and March 31, 2026. Disney denies the allegations and has not admitted wrongdoing or liability. The court has also not ruled that Disney violated any law.
Who’s Eligible for this Settlement?
You may qualify if you purchased one of the covered live-TV streaming subscriptions at any point from April 1, 2019, through March 31, 2026.
The settlement includes individuals, businesses, associations, entities and corporations that purchased an eligible subscription during the class period.
Certain parties are excluded, including Disney and its employees, officers, directors, affiliates and subsidiaries, attorneys involved in the case, and the judges and court staff assigned to the lawsuit. Eligible Products
The settlement covers subscriptions to:
- YouTube TV
- DirecTV Stream
- DirecTV Now
- AT&T TV Now
The DirecTV class covers DirecTV’s streaming live pay-TV service under the different names it used during the settlement period. FuboTV customers are not covered by this settlement because those plaintiffs have not settled with Disney.

Settlement Payout
Eligible class members can receive a cash payment based on the length of their qualifying subscription. The final amount will vary depending on the number of valid claims, subscription duration, settlement expenses and other approved deductions. No individual payment estimate is currently available.
If you subscribed to both YouTube TV and an eligible DirecTV streaming service, you can request compensation for both subscriptions using a single claim form. The net settlement fund will be divided based partly on where class members lived during the covered period.
Filing a Claim
You must submit a valid claim online or mail a completed claim form postmarked by September 8, 2026.
The claim asks for information connected to your YouTube TV or DirecTV Stream account, such as the account number and the phone number or email address associated with the subscription.
Payments will not be distributed until the court approves the settlement and it becomes final. The final approval hearing is scheduled for January 14, 2027, although appeals or other delays could push payments back further.
By signing and submitting a claim form, you swear under penalty of perjury that the information provided is true and correct.
