Earn 5% at Walmart with Discover it Card

Discover it cardholders can earn 5% at restaurants and drugstores in the first quarter of 2024. But some cardholders will also have another category where they can earn 5%.

Discover is sending out emails offering an extra 4% cashback bonus at Walmart for January and February, on up to $1,000 in purchases. Eligible categories could vary, so check your emails.

Some people have an offer for 5% on Amazon purchases instead. (HT: Michael)

The Offer

Activate to earn 5% Cashback Bonus at Walmart from 1/1/2024 (or the date on which you activate 5%, whichever is later) through 2/29/2024, on up to $1,000 in purchases. Walmart purchases include those made at Walmart.com, through the Walmart app, in-store at Walmart, Walmart Grocery pick-up and Walmart Gas Stations. Purchases using Walmart Pay with your Discover Card will also be included.

You must activate the offer through the link included in your email. This offer only applies to the card targeted in the email.

Offer Terms

• This offer is different from the quarterly 5% Cashback Bonus program.
• Enrollment in this offer does not confirm enrollment in the quarterly 5% Cashback Bonus program.
• Purchases from individual merchants and stand-alone stores within physical Walmart locations may not be eligible for this promotion.
• Sam’s Club purchases are not eligible.
• Purchases made through affiliates of Walmart.com are not promotion. T
• Purchases must be made with merchants in the U.S. to qualify for 5%.
