Guruโs Wrap-up
This is an easy bonus and if you receive the offer, I think you should go for it. You just need to make any small purchase to get $50. Even if you do not receive the email, you can often contact Discover and check if they can extend you this offer.
An Authorized User is someone added to an account without an additional credit check. They’ll get a card with their name on it and share charging privileges (up to the primary cardholder’s available line of credit). An Authorized User is not responsible for paying the charges on the account.
Just keep in mind that most likely, an authorized userโs card will show up in their credit report as a new card. You can often try and remove it from the report by calling the issuer or the credit bureaus. And if you are worried about Chase 5/24, you can explain in a reconsideration call that one or more accounts are authorized user accounts.
