Delta Opens Europe Business Class Award Space for Partners
Delta Air Lines has release nonstop business class award space for partner airlines for flights between New York’s JFK airport and several European destinations.
This is a great option to travel to Europe in style without breaking the bank. The best option to book these awards is through Virgin Atlantic. It would cost you 50,000 Flying Club miles each way. That’s a great deal, especially when compared to what Delta charges for awards. There are no fuel surcharges either, as long as you book one way or round-trip originating from the US.
Virgin Atlantic miles are easy to come by, since you can transfer from all major loyalty programs. Virgin Atlantic is a transfer partner for Capital One, Chase, Citi or American Express. You can transfer from all these programs normally at a ratio of 1:1, but American Express currently has a 30% bonus that gives you a ratio of 1:1.3.
With that added bonus, it means that you can book one-way Delta business class awards for just 39,000 Membership Rewards points, or 78,000 membership Rewards for round-trip award.
Award space is available through the spring on select dates only. You can travel from JFK to Amsterdam, Berlin, Brussels, Frankfurt, Milan, Rome, Zurich and other European cities.
