Citi is once again offering the Citi ThankYou Premier 50K bonus. We see this offer occasionally and it’s the highest we have seen recently. If you’ve had eyes on it and are eligible for the bonus, then this is a good opportunity to apply.
Offer Requirements
Earn 50,000 bonus points after making $4,000 in purchases with your card within the first 3 months of account opening.
Annual Fee $95 (Waived for the first 12 months)
The bonus is equal to $500 in cash or $625 when redeemed for airfare through the ThankYou Travel Center. You can usually do better than that through travel partners.
Eligibility
Keep in mind that with the recent added restrictions on Citi cards, bonus ThankYou Points are not available if you have had a ThankYou Preferred, ThankYou Premier or Citi Prestige card opened or closed in the past 24 months.
Guru’s Wrap-Up
It is nice to see Citi bring back one of the best bonuses on this card. With 3X on travel and 2X on dining it earns at a good rate and the bonus is worth over $600 for most people.
The 24-moth restriction though makes things a bit harder. The current bonus has been just 30,000 points online, so this offer is significantly better. If you were thinking of applying for a ThankYou Premier card, you should probably jump on it, because I doubt we’ll see a better bonus. If you want the Prestige card as well, then you have to pick one or the other.
