Citi reelased a new no-fee card called Citi Rewards+ back in early January of this year. The card offers a simple version of Citi’s ThankYou rewards program, but with some interesting features. One of those features is 10% points back for the first 100,000 points you redeem per year. So a maximum of 10,000 ThankYou points every year.
That points rebate though is even better than we previously thought. Out and Out reports that the 10% rebate works when you redeem points earned on other cards as well, as long as the accounts are linked. That means that you can earn ThankYou points with your Citi Prestige card and get 10% redemption rebate when you redeem them, thanks to the Rewards+ card.
This should work when you use ThankYou points for transfers, booking through travel portal and gift card purchases. Not bad at all for a no annual fee card.

To be clear, the 10% is on the cashback amount, not the spend amount. Eg, if you spend $1000 at a grocery store, you get 2x or $20 cashback. Then you’ll get an extra 10% of the $20, which is $2. Still 2.2% is better than 2%. FWIW, this maxes out to an extra $100/year.
