Citi Removing JetBlue as Transfer Partner for No-Fee Cards
Citi cardholders can transfer ThankYou points to many transfer partners. However, annual fee cards will get you a 1:1 transfer ratio for most partners and always a better rate than no-fee cards.
Looking at JetBlue, you can transfer 1:1 if you have the Strata Premier or Strata Elite, but it’s only 1,000 to 700 if you have any of the no-fee cards such as Custom cash.
Now Citi has announced that those cardholders who don’t get the 1:1 transfer ratio, will lose JetBlue as a transfer partner completely starting September 20, 2026. Some cardholders are seeing this message in their accounts, when they go to transfer points to JetBlue:
Important update: JetBlue will no longer be a Points Transfer option effective September 20, 2026. This change will not affect prior JetBlue Points Transfer transactions.
This affects no-fee cards like
- Citi Double Cash
- Citi Custom Cash
- Citi Rewards+
- Citi Strata Card
- Citi ThankYou
I don’t think may people are transferring ThankYou points to JetBlue at a 1,000 to 700 ratio, but it’s always better to have the option than not having it at all. Hopefully this doesn’t mean that Citi is planning on lowering the transfer ratio for cards that currently can transfer 1:1.
