Bonus Requirements
The bonus of $350 comes in a few parts:
- $110 bonus with a qualifying direct deposit of $500 or more must post to new checking account within 60 days of account opening. To claim the new account bonus, customer must contact Citadel by calling 1-800-666-0191 or visiting a branch after completing the requirements. The bonus must be requested within 60 days of meeting the promotion requirements.
- $120 bonus total with 1% cash back on Citadel debit and/or credit card. Must maintain average daily balance of $5,000 or receive monthly qualifying direct deposit(s) totaling $1,000 or more to earn cashback.
- Another $120 after the first 12 months that your Cashback Rewards Checking account is open, Citadel will match the Cashback Rewards you have earned.
Eligibility
Bonus rewards points available to new checking customers only; One offer per household, per lifetime. Customer must not have closed a Citadel checking account within the last 12 months.
You must live, work, worship, or study in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, or Philadelphia Counties, or the city of Lancaster, PA. You also qualify if a member of your family or household is already a customer, regardless of where you live.
Fees
Cashback Rewards Checking Account has a $10 monthly service fee that’s waived with:
- an average daily balance of $5,000 OR
- monthly qualifying direct deposit(s) totaling $1,000 or more

This is probably just a $110 bonus for most people, unless you can do the debit purchases monthly. 2% on debit purchases in not bad either, but there’s also the $5K balance or $1K direct deposit requirement in order to earn that cashback and also avoid the $10 monthly fee. They had a $250 bonus recently that was better and for a no fee account.
