Chase Sapphire Preferred Refresh Coming Soon
Today, Chase announced new earn categories, travel credits and protections coming to the Sapphire Preferred card on June 15, 2026, with no change to the $95 annual fee. But one of the main changes on the card is negative, as the transfer ratio to World of Hyatt is dropping from 1:1 to 4:3.
Going back to the enhancements, new and existing cardmembers will have access to these new benefits on June 15, 2026. The Sapphire Preferred cardโs accelerated earning power will be strengthened by the addition of 3x points on gas and EV charging, plus 3x points on vacation homes at top brands like Airbnb, Vrbo and more.
Cardmembers will also receive a $100 Chase Travel Hotel Credit each account anniversary, doubled from $50. To help ease travel, cardmembers can receive a credit up to $120 toward Global Entry, TSA PreCheck or NEXUS every four years, and with the addition of Emergency Evacuation and Transportation coverage, the card will now have the most comprehensive suite of travel protections in its class. Additionally, cardmembers will receive a complimentary Apple TV subscription for one year when activated by December 31, 2026.

Guru’s Wrap-up
Most of the changes here are positive. You’re getting 3x points on gas and EV charging, as well as vacation homes. The Chase Travel Hotel Credit has been doubled to $100 and there’s also the new $120 credit for Global Entry, TSA PreCheck, or NEXUS credit every four years. But the big negative is that the card is losing 1:1 Hyatt transfers.
Hopefully we see a big bonus on June 15!
