To qualify and receive your bonus, you must make purchases totaling $3,000 or more during the first 3 months from account opening.
This card is similar to the Ink Plus card. It does not have an annual fee but it still earns 5% cash back at at office supply stores and on cellular phone, landline, internet and cable TV services, up to $25,000 per year (compared to $50K on Ink Plus).
The $500 bonus can also be used as 50K UR points if you have a UR earning credit card. You can easily get much more value when redeeming through travel partners. Also you can get an extra 15K UR points if you do the $3K spending requirement at a 5X qualifying merchant such as Office Depot or Staples.
