Guru’s Wrap-up
Chase already offers a $600 bonus and a 60K UR bonus. This targeted offer gets you 50,000 Southwest Rapid Rewards points instead. While the cash bonus might be more preferable, what makes this Southwest offer interesting is that you get almost halfway to a Companion Pass.
Let me know if you received this offer.
I signed up for this but didn’t receive it. It’s been over the 8 weeks since they indicated it should have been credited to my SW Rewards. I’ve called both Chase and Southwest. Southwest has given me a corporate number to call which I need to do. Has anyone else had problems with this getting credited? What did you do?
That’s strange. Did they confirm that you fulfilled requirements?
I also received this offer via email after getting the 60k bonus points by getting Southwest priority credit card. After a brief research, I decided to opt-in for this offer so I can reach the 110k required qualifying points for companion pass. I already moved $15k into the new savings and set up direct deposit for my paycheck into the new checking because I learned that the companion pass is good for the remainder of the year in which I get it and the following calendar year. So the sooner I get it the more I can use it. I travel a lot so this seemed like a really good offer.
Yes companion pass is great. the earlier in the year you get it the better. enjoy!
I did receive this offer. Question though..about a month ago, I was awarded 60k points for opening up a Chase Southwest Premier account. I know that Chase does not give out bonus points if I have been awarded bonus points during the past 2 years for opening up a new SW card. Do you know if I am eligible for this promo? Technically, it’s a new checking/savings account, not a new credit card account.
Yes you’re ok. Credit cards won’t affect eligibility for this bonus. “Checking offer is not available to existing Chase checking customers. Savings offer is not available to existing Chase savings customers. Both offers are not available to those with fiduciary accounts, or those whose accounts have been closed within 90 days or closed with a negative balance.”
