Cash App Now Lets You Send Bitcoin for Free, Plus $10 Bonus for a Tweet
Cash App is a mobile payment service developed by Square, Inc. that allows users to easily send and receive money using a mobile phone app. The service is available in the US and the UK and counts over 7 million active users. Six years after launching the Cash App, Square recently launched Cash App Invest.
This week, Cash App said that users can now instantly send bitcoin for free on their app, just like they do with cash. However, there are some fees to watch out for with the app, such as a 3% fee when sending money via a credit card linked to the Cash App account.
To promote this Bitcoin feature, Cash App also launched a promotion to give away $1 million in bitcoin. Everyone can easily get $10 worth of BTC.
Here’s how the promotion works:
- Create a Cash App account if you don’t have one (Get $10 bonus when you sign up)
- Follow @CashApp on Twitter
- Retweet this tweet along with your $cashtag (your Cash App handle) and the hashtag #CashAppBitcoin.
- Get $10 in BTC. The Prize Winners will be notified by receiving a peer-to-peer bitcoin payment from Cash App directly into their Cash App account.
The “Sweepstakes Period” begins at 12PM Eastern Time (“ET”) on March 17, 2021 and ends at 12PM ET on March 19, 2021 (although tweet says ends 3/18). Prize Winners will be selected during the Sweepstakes Period. See full terms here.
