Earning Rates Nerfed for All Cardless Sports Credit Cards
Cardless has six sports teams credits cards that include Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, Liverpool FC, Manchester United, Miami Marlins and the New Orleans Pelicans.
These cards have different earning rates and categories. The Boston Celtics card for example earns 7X on ridesharing and streaming services. The New Orleans Pelicans card earns 4X on gas and dining. Plus each card has team specific perks. You can see the previous earning rates for each card here.
Not it seems that these higher earning categories have been nerfed and all cards earn the same rate. That means:
- 3x points at bars & restaurants
- 1x points on everything else
The signup bonus has also been lowered to just 5,000 points ($50), down from 30,000. Each card still gets team specific perks such as up to 20% on purchases at Team Stores.
It’s no clear if these new earning rates will apply to current cardholders. And if so, when they will kick in. For now, my New Orleans Pelicans card still shows the old earning rates.
