Capital One Adds Copa Airlines as Transfer Partner
Capital One has added Copa Airlines ConnectMiles as its newest transfer partner, giving cardholders another way to use Capital One miles for flights. Copa is Capital Oneโs 23rd airline and hotel transfer partner.
The new partnership went live November 2, 2026. Capital One miles transfer to Copa at a standard 2:1.5 ratio, which means 1,000 Capital One miles = 750 ConnectMiles.
To celebrate the launch, Capital One is also offering a 30% transfer bonus through December 1, 2026.
With the bonus, the ratio improves to:
- 1,000 Capital One miles = 975 Copa ConnectMiles
The bonus runs through 11:59 PM ET on December 1. Transfers require at least 1,000 miles.
Copa is a Star Alliance member, so ConnectMiles can be used not only for Copa flights but also for awards on partners such as United, Lufthansa, ANA, SWISS and others. One nice part of the program is that Copa does not add fuel surcharges on several partner awards, which can sometimes make ConnectMiles useful for premium cabin bookings.
Citi recently added Copa as a transfer partner as well, and eligible ThankYou points can transfer at 1:1. That means even with Capital Oneโs 30% launch bonus, Citi still has better ratio.

Guruโs Wrap-Up
Itโs always good to see another transfer partner added, especially one that gives cardholders more Star Alliance options.
The 2:1.5 standard ratio is not great, but the 30% launch bonus only gets you to 975 ConnectMiles per 1,000 Capital One miles, just short of 1:1.
