Capital One 360 is offering their best ever checking bonus I believe, but sadly it is a targeted offer and limited to new customers only. To qualify for the bonus, you must be the primary account holder, and this has to be your first 360 Checking Account (this includes former Electric Orange accounts, too). So people like me that already have had ( and I still have) a checking account with them, do not qualify.
To earn the $200 bonus, you must open a 360 Checking Account between August 9, 2016 and September 30, 2016, 11:59 p.m. ET, and receive 2 direct deposits of $250 or more within 60 days of your acceptance of account terms and conditions. You will receive the $200 credit to your checking account about 90 days after your acceptance of account terms and conditions. Direct deposits must be an electronic deposit of one of the following: your paycheck for your employer, Social Security/pension or other government benefits. Direct deposit is subject to employer or other payor options.
The terms state in bold letters that the “OFFER IS STRICTLY NON-TRANSFERABLE AND ONLY AVAILABLE TO YOU”. So it looks like it’s impossible to get it unless you were directly targeted. Ben in the comments also also clarified that you have to have received a mailer in your own name in order to apply.
I really like Capital One 360. I signed up about 2-3 years ago for a bonus of $50 and have since made it my primary account. You can now do transactions in a Capital One locations as well, which was previously not possible. They also have a great app that works flawlessly for mobile deposits. It has also worked great for me to fulfill direct deposit requirements on most bank bonuses. Another great thing about this account is that it has virtually no fees at all.

Just gave them a call – it’s targeted and if you did not receive an email to your name with this offer, it is not going to work for you.
