Buy Hyatt Points with 30% Discount

World of Hyatt is running a promotion where you can buy Hyatt points with a 30% discount. Purchasing hotel and airline points is usually a bad idea, but when there’s a promotion, it could make sense for certain redemptions. Let’s see how the promotion works and whether it’s worth it.

Save 30% on points now. Stay when you’re ready. Buy 3,000 Bonus Points or more and get 30% off with purchases made between 12:01 am ET August 22, 2022 and ends 11:59 pm September 30, 2022.

The price per point with this promotion would be 1.68¢ instead of 2.4¢.

Guru’s Wrap-Up

Purchasing Hyatt points at 1.68 cents each could be useful but it is not a great deal in my opinion. I would suggest looking at the personal and business Hyatt credit cards first, or transferring points from Chase Ultimate Rewards. If you do plan to buy Hyatt points with this promotion, try going through a portal as well to earn some cashback. The points are sold through, so they do not count as travel. Use a card such as Blue Business Plus Credit Card from American Express that will get you 2X Membership Rewards points, or any other 2% credit card.

The best ever discount we have seen for Hyatt points was 40% off.

When applicable, you should always go through shopping portals to earn cashback. But when that's not an option, your support for the site is always greatly appreciated. Thank you for reading!
