That works out to a price of around 1.1¢ per mile, if you buy at least 51,000 miles, which is a good price for LifeMiles. This is a good price for buying Avianca LifeMiles. But we have seen even better in the past, with a 200% bonus.
If you need more points, you should look transfer partners first anyway. You can transfer points to LifeMiles American Express Membership Rewards, Capital One Miles, and Citi ThankYou Points. All three transfer at a ratio of 1:1. So you have plenty of options to earn LifeMiles. The American Express Gold Card for example will earn you 4X LifeMiles on groceries and the Capital One Venture X card will get you 2x LifeMiles on all purchases.
