American Express is once again targeting some cardholders with an offer to earn 10,000 Membership Rewards points just for enrolling in “Pay Over Time” program. We see this Amex Pay Over Time bonus from time to time, and now there’s a new link again where you can check if you’re targeted. This offer is for charge cards.
What Is Pay Over Time
The “Pay Over Time” program is available for American Express charge cards and it basically makes them credit cards, as you don’t have to pay in full by your due date. DON’T DO THIS. Always pay your credit card balances in full. But it is an option that you can sign up for, without having to actually use it. Wait for a bonus to sign up to do so. American Express currently offers these charge cards:

- The Business Platinum Card® from American Express
- Gold Card
- Business Gold Card
- Green Card

- Plum Card

This Amex Pay Over Time bonus is quite generous. You get 10,000 Membership Rewards points with less than 30 seconds of work. If you are targeted, then is definitely worth it. There’s no hard inquiry and you do not actually have to carry a balance to get the bonus. Just need to sign up. Even if you didn’t receive an email, make sure you check if you’re eligible if you have an American Express charge card.
