Update: Gift card purchase did not track on Mr.Rebates

Get a one-time $50 statement credit by using your enrolled Card to spend a minimum of $200+ in one or more transactions at Cole Haan full-price stores or online at colehaan.com by 12/31/2016. This is the same offer that cam around last November. Gift cards are not excluded and Cole Haan sells gift cards of different denominations online, including $200 gift cards. This worked to trigger the Amex Offer last time around and it should work again (Update: works again, I received confirmation right away).

Cole Haan gift cards are selling for 71% at GiftCardZen right now. That would give you $142 for a $200 gift card. But if you go through a shopping portal such as Mr.Rebates that is offering 7% cash back (same as last year), you would get $14. It would make this a $6 moneymaker plus whatever cash back or points you’ll earn from your Amex card. You could also try Raise.com and set your own selling rate. They do charge a fee, but you could come out ahead.

Not a whole lot, but shows that there’s opportunities in some of these offers and it could be done from the comfort of your home. It could also help with SPG, MR or Hilton points if you’re working towards a redemption. Also keep in mind that the 71% rate at GiftCardZen might fall if many people jump on this.

A word of caution. Test it first with just one purchase and then proceed with the rest of your cards. It has worked for me in the past but Chuck on twitter, just warned that Cole Haan gift cards haven’t been tracking lately on portal.
