The Amex Green Card has a new offer that can earn you up to 60,000 Membership Rewards points. This is one of those “as high as” offers which means that you can also see a bonus of 40,000 points. If you never had the Gold or Platinum credit card from American Express, then this is a good place to start. There’s now a family lifetime language on these cards, which means that you should start with Amex Green, then Gold then Platinum, in order to be eligible for all bonuses. But the language in the offer terms only states that you “may not” be eligible, so there’s a change that you are.

As for the offer itself, if you see the 60,000 points bonus, then I think it’s worth going for it. I would skip it at 40,000, unless you really want the card. You can also check referral links from friends and family members and see if you’re able to pull up the 60,000 points offer that way.
