Amex Gold Card Adds New and Enhanced Benefits
As it celebrates the 60th anniversary of the American Express Gold Card, Amex has introduced new and enhanced benefits to one of its most popular cards. That includes 5X on Amex Travel, Hertz Five Star® Status, and updated list of merchants for the $120 Dining Credit. The annual fee is still $325.
5X on Amex Travel
Cardmembers now earn 5X Membership Rewards® points on prepaid hotels booked through AmexTravel.com or Amex Travel App™, increased from 2X Membership Rewards® points.
Hertz Five Star® Status
Enjoy benefits like skipping the counter at select locations, adding an additional driver at no additional cost and vehicle upgrades when available. Enrollment and Hertz Gold+ registration is required. Terms apply.
Updated $120 Dining Credit
The Amex Gold Card is adding new partners including Buffalo Wild Wings and Wonder, giving Card Members more ways to enjoy dining value.
Other participating partners are Grubhub and Seamless, Five Guys, and The Cheesecake Factory. Effective July 1, 2026, Goldbelly and Wine.com will no longer be participating partners for the $120 Dining Credit.
Enrollment required. As a reminder, Card Members enjoy up to $10 in statement credits each month when you pay at participating partners.
