Amex Gives Anniversary Credits to Business Cardholders
I wrote a few days ago about theĀ possibility of American Express issuing some kind of partial annual fee refund to its cardholders due to the pandemic. This morning I posted about the $200 credit for Business Platinum cardholders, but more business credit cards are getting credits. These credits are a small portion of the annual fee, but give you extra value in addition to the temporary benefits that Amex has added through the end of the year.
Amex Anniversary Credits
Seems like the credits are for business cards only. Here are the credits we are seeing so far:
- Business Platinum – $200 statement credit
- Delta Reserve Business – $125 statement credit
- Delta Platinum Business – $75 statement credit
- Hilton Business – $50 statement credit
- Marriott Bonvoy Business – $50 statement credit
These credits are probably showing up for cardholders whose anniversary is coming up in the next months. Maybe through the end of the year, since that is the promotional period for the temporary additional benefits that were added to Amex Cards.
Guru’s Wrap-up
Check your emails or accounts online for a banner showing these credits. If you don’t see either, then call in and try to confirm with a rep that he offer applies to your account. Let me know if you see credits on any other cards. Hopefully we see something similar for personal cards as well, especially premium products.
Would be great if you could also get some kind of retention offer in addition to these credits. I haven’t seen any data points about this, just wishful thinking.

has anyone received credit for Delta Biz? I called but rep had no clue what I was talking about.
Two are listed:
– Delta Reserve Business ā $125 statement credit
– Delta Platinum Business ā $75 statement credit
sorry I meant Delta Gold Biz
I don’t have the card myself, and I haven’t seen it mentioned anywhere for these credits. Let me know if you do see an offer for it.
