Amex Partners with Break the Love, Free Tennis Court Reservations in NY

Today American Express is officially announcing a new partnership with social sports platform Break the Love to give Card Members and tennis fans complimentary access to 10,000 court reservations across 500 tennis and pickleball courts in the NY area for one month leading up to the 2022 US Open. From now through September 13, 2022, tennis fans can book complimentary court access at, and Card Members can unlock special access to peak reservation times when using their Card.

To celebrate the new partnership, this weekend American Express and Break the Love will be debuting a rooftop pickleball court and pop-up Card Member Lounge at Showfields’ NYC in SoHo this weekend. In addition to the rooftop pickleball court that will be bookable through Break the Love for the duration of the partnership, the experience will also include an American Express Card Member Lounge, first-ever US Open Honey Deuce popsicles, limited-edition Amex x Break the Love merch in partnership with Wilson, which will also be available for purchase online to Card Members via Break the Love’s website throughout the duration of the partnership, as well as custom, tennis-inspired nail art by Chillhouse! 

Additionally, the 2022 US Open Tennis tournament will once again be providing Card Members with exclusive access and perks. A few highlights this year include: 

  • The immersive US Open American Express Fan Experience, and a new interactive, digital game – Glow Tennis. 
  • A special Centurion Suite exclusive to Platinum Card Members with dishes curated by several Executive Chefs of the American Express Centurion Lounges, including Cedric Vongerichten, Michael Solomonov & Ignacio Mattos. 
  • Other fan-favorite perks that include the iconic American Express Radios, the checkout-free American Express Shop, complimentary bag check, a spend offer that Card Members can enroll an eligible Card in ahead of and at the tournament to spend anywhere on the grounds.
