Amex Centurion Card Gets $2,000 In AmexTravel Credits
The Amex Centurion Card is at the high end of premium cards. The card has am initiation fee of $7,500 and then an annual fee of $5,000. That fee was just doubled in April, up from $2,500. There are also some other requirements to be approved for this card.
Now American Express is giving Centurion cardholders some extra benefits during the pandemic, to entice them to renew the card if their anniversary is this year. First the Amex Centurion Card is getting the $20 in monthly credits for streaming and wireless services, same as the Platinum Card.
Then there is an extra travel credit. This was offered to Platinum cardholders as well, but instead of $200, Centurion cardholders are getting $2,000. Here’s what Doctor of Credit reports about this credit that can be used at AmexTravel through the end of 2021:
In appreciation of your Membership, beginning in August of this year through 2021, you can earn up to $2,000 in statement credits after you use your Centurion Card to make eligible travel purchases through Centurion Membership Services or AmexTravel.com. Details to come.
