Amex Business Gold 4X Categories Changes
American Express is making a notable change to the Business Gold Card starting February 17, 2027.
The card will still earn 4X Membership Rewards points on the top two eligible categories each billing cycle, on up to $150,000 in combined purchases per calendar year. But two of those categories, advertising and wireless service, will be narrowed to a specific list of merchants.

Starting February 17, 2027, the advertising and wireless categories will only qualify at select merchants.
