Amex Blue Cash Everyday, Up To $300 Sign Up Bonus

(UPDATE: Read Here First, Possible $450 Offer) American Express is offering a different kind of a sign up bonus for their Blue Cash Everyday card. I found out about the deal through an email that an Amex representative sent me, which was surprising.

This is the offer; New Card Members who apply for the Blue Cash Everyday Card before June 15, 2016 can earn up to $300 cash back, including 10% on purchases at U.S. Wireless Telephone Service Providers (up to $200) and a $100 cash back welcome bonus after you spend $1,000 in purchases on the Card within the first 3 months of Card Membership.

The regular offer is just $100, and Amex has offered a $250 sign up bonus in the past. For me that would be the better offer, but for some people (who spend a lot on wireless service) this might make more sense.

The $100 part is easy. The other $200 is in the form of 10% back at US Wireless Telephone Service Providers on the first $2,000 in purchases made on the Card Account in 2016. So you have until the end of the year to max this out. Let’s say there’s 9 bills left this year, so you would need to spend at least $222 a month to maximize this. That’s an insane phone bill, but it’s not unthinkable for those who have family plans. Phone purchases directly from Wireless Telephone Service Providers should also qualify towards the $2,000, so if you’re planning on getting a phone, it should be easier to get max bonus.

Once Per Lifetime Rule
