American Express Opens First-Ever Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge at LAS
Today American Express opened the doors to the brand new Sidecar by The Centurion® Lounge. This is an entirely new airport lounge concept within The Centurion Lounge network, at Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas.
The smaller space caters to solo and small groups of travelers. This is a speakeasy-inspired lounge, where eligible Card Members looking for a quick stop can sit and order elevated food and drinks from a menu curated by the award-winning Resy Chefs from The Culinary Collective by The Centurion Lounge™.
This opening marks the 32nd location in the Centurion Lounge Network across the globe and represents American Express’ first expansion of the Centurion Lounge experience into a “more intimate format”. The lounge is located near gate D1 in Concourse D. Opening hours are 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., a short distance from the primary Centurion Lounge.

Features
- Restaurant-Style Ordering: Eligible Card Members visiting Sidecar will be seated at the bar or a table. They can place an order through QR code technology powered by Toast and have their food and drinks delivered directly by a server, more akin to a restaurant experience.
- Elevated Bites & Drinks: The menu will rotate regularly and features small plates from The Culinary Collective by The Centurion Lounge, a group of James Beard Award®-winning1 Resy chefs — Sarah Grueneberg, Kwame Onwuachi, Michael Solomonov and Mashama Bailey — as well as craft cocktails2 by esteemed Bar Director Harrison Ginsberg. The chefs, whose cuisines are inspired by a range of flavors from Afro-Caribbean to Italian, and whose restaurants you’d have to travel around the country to visit, have created new menu items including:
- Crushed Cucumber Salad with Crispy Rice Pearls by Chef Kwame Onwuachi
- Avocado Toast with Schug Labneh and Black Sesame Seeds by Chef Michael Solomonov
- Mushroom & Mustard Greens Egg Bites with Black Garlic Aioli by Chef Mashama Bailey
- Sidecar Cocktail — Cognac, Cointreau, Lemon by Bar Director Harrison Ginsberg
Each month, the menu will feature a different specialty Chef Signature Sandwich from The Culinary Collective by The Centurion Lounge, starting with Chicky Chicky Parm Parm Sliders by Chef Sarah Grueneberg.

- Sommelier Helen Johannesen Joins The Culinary Collective by The Centurion Lounge: Johannesen will curate the wine list for Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge, and her wine selections will be available in all Centurion Lounges across the U.S. beginning in Spring 2026. Johannesen, who is passionate about educating and inspiring people about wine, is the founder of Helen’s Wines. She is also a partner in Jon & Vinny’s with locations in Los Angeles and Miami, where she leads a carefully curated program of natural and small-production wine pairings for Jon & Vinny’s Italian, an enduring cornerstone of LA’s chef-driven dining culture.
- Thoughtful Design: Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge’s design reflects the culture of Las Vegas — an “oasis-in-the-desert” concept that feels immersive and premium. The speakeasy-inspired space features desert hues, mixed natural stones, lush foliage and pops of deep American Express blue, as well as nods to Vegas glamour for depth and shimmer, including brass accents, antique mirrors and warm lighting. Its design optimizes its smaller footprint to deliver an efficient experience, while also blending in contemporary elegance familiar to Centurion Lounge visitors.

Lounge Access
Access to Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge is complimentary for Card Members who currently enjoy access to The Centurion® Lounge Network, including Platinum Card® Members.
Card Members will be eligible to access Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge within 90 minutes before their flight departs. Eligible Card Members will continue to have access to the Centurion Lounge at LAS.
