American Express and CLEAR Extend Partnership

American Express and CLEAR announced today they are extending their partnership. That means that eligible American Express Card Members who enroll in CLEAR and pay using their American Express credit cards to receive up to $189 in annual statement credits for their membership purchases.

CLEAR Plus provides Members with an improved experience at airport checkpoints by allowing them to verify their identity with their eyes, fingerprints, or face and get directly to physical security before heading to their gate.

Amex Card with CLEAR Credit Benefit

American Express Card Members with the following U.S. Cards can continue to enjoy their CLEAR Plus benefit:

The Platinum Card® from American Express: Statement credit up to $189 per calendar year
The Business Platinum Card® from American Express: Statement credit up to $189 per calendar year
Corporate Platinum Cards: Statement credit up to $189 per calendar year
American Express® Green Card: Statement credit up to $189 per calendar year
Hilton Honors Aspire Card: Statement credit up to $189 per calendar year

How It Works

To receive this benefit, sign up for a CLEAR Plus Membership and use an eligible American Express Card as the form of payment. Existing CLEAR Plus Members can log into their CLEAR account and update payment method to an eligible Card.
The Basic Card Member will receive up to $189 in statement credits per calendar year when they or Additional Card Members on their Account pay for a CLEAR Plus Membership with their Card. However, statement credits will only be provided for a total of $189 per calendar year, per Card Account.
Statement credits are typically received within a few days, but may take up to 6-8 weeks after a CLEAR Plus Membership fee is charged to the Card Account.
In order to fully enroll in CLEAR Plus, you must complete enrollment at an airport CLEAR location with a valid government-issued ID. Once fully enrolled, CLEAR Plus Memberships are automatically renewed each year and the cost of the Membership will be charged to the Card on file.
