American Airlines to Open Provisions by Admirals Club at JFK
American Airlines is introducing a new approach to lounge design at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) with its Provisions by Admirals Club space, a purpose-built concept created to better serve high volume traffic while elevating the grab and go experience for greater travel ease.
Located in Terminal 8 within Concourse B between gates 12 and 14, the 3,700-square-foot space prioritizes flow, flexibility and speed, offering a streamlined alternative for customers who want premium food and beverage options without spending as much time in the lounge. This new space will complement the joint premium lounges above gates 12 and 14 and the Admirals Club® lounge in Concourse C.
At the heart of the lounge is a dedicated barista bar — a first for American — featuring Lavazza-crafted beverages. Customers can enjoy a curated menu of hot and cold coffee drinks, prepared by a barista and customized to their preferences, bringing a more personalized and premium beverage experience to the quick stop setting.
Complementing the barista bar, a self-serve beverage station offers canned and bottled options designed for customers to take on the go, meeting the needs of travelers with tight connections or limited time.
In addition to food and drinks, the lounge will offer one-on-one assistance from American Airlines staff, allowing travelers to receive help with reservations or travel issues without visiting the main Admirals Club. The concept first debuted in Charlotte and is aimed at travelers looking for a quick stop before boarding rather than a lengthy lounge visit.
Lounge Access
Access to Provisions by Admirals Club will follow similar eligibility rules as the standard Admirals Club.
For those traveling domestically, Admirals Club® lounge access is available through an Admirals Club® membership or the Citi® / AAdvantage® Executive World Elite Mastercard®. Citi® / AAdvantage® Globe™ Mastercard® and Citi Strata Elite® cardholders can also use one of their four Admirals Club® Globe™ and Citi Strata Elite® passes each year, each valid for 24 hours. Customers can also purchase a One-Day Pass, valid for 24 hours, for $79 or 7,900 AAdvantage® miles.
