You’ll Soon Need to Spend $150 to Get Free Delivery from Amazon Fresh

Amazon Fresh Will Soon Require $150 Spend for Free Delivery

Amazon will severely limit free grocery deliveries for Prime members. Beginning February 28, members will have to spend at least $150 to get free delivery via Amazon Fresh (affiliate link).

Customers who buy less than $150 in groceries will be charged between $3.95 and $9.95, depending on the order size. The change was announced in an email to Prime members on Friday.

Currently, Amazon Fresh offers Prime members free grocery deliveries on orders above $35, with the exception of New York, where you need to spend at least $50. The new fees will be as follows:

  • Orders over $150: Free
  • Orders between $100-$150: $3.95
  • Orders between $50-$100: $6.95
  • Orders under $50: $9.95

Prime members will still need to choose a time slot for groceries. “We will continue to offer convenient two-hour delivery windows for all orders, and customers in some areas will be able to select a longer, six-hour delivery window for a reduced fee,” Amazon said in the email.
