TCF Bank is sending out mailers with a $300 bonus for new checking accounts in a few states. The requirements are pretty easy, with optional direct deposit.
Bonus Requirements
To earn the $300 bonus from TCF Bank you need to do the following:
- Bring mailer to any TCF Branch or use promo code MFT300 included
- Open a TCF Free Checking account with a minimum of $25 deposit
- Do only ONE of the following within 60 days
- Receive direct deposits totaling $500 or more
- Make at least $250 in debit card purchases
Upon verification, you’ll receive $250 into your new checking account the business day following the criteria verification.
Eligibility
Offer is available in MN, MI, IL, WI, CO and SD.
This offer does not apply if you have an exiting TCF consumer checking account or closed an account within the last 90 days.
Limit one per household.
There’s targeted language in the terms, so most likely you need to have received the offer directly in order to qualify. In the past just mentioning the code has also worked, but not recently.
Fees
The TCF Premier Checking account has a $15 monthly fee that is waived with a balance of $2,500.
