IHG Promo: Earn Up to 3X Points Through December 31
IHG One Rewards has launched a new global promotion for stays this fall, offering double points starting with your second qualifying stay, or triple points when eligible stays are booked through the IHG One Rewards app.
Pre-registration runs from September 17 through September 30, 2026, and the stay period runs from October 1 through December 31, 2026. Members can also register during the promotion period, but only stays completed after registration will qualify.

The first qualifying stay does not earn a bonus, but it does count toward unlocking the promotion.
Starting with your second qualifying stay:
- Earn 2X points when booking through an eligible IHG-owned direct channel.
- Earn 3X points when booking through the IHG One Rewards app on iOS or Android. In select markets, WeChat and LINE bookings can also qualify for the 3X rate.
- There is no cap on the bonus points you can earn.
A qualifying stay must be at least one night, booked on a qualifying rate, and have total eligible spend of more than $30 per night. Reward Nights and Points + Cash stays do not qualify, and third-party bookings through sites such as Expedia or Booking.com are excluded.

This is a pretty straightforward IHG promotion, and the 3X option makes booking through the app the obvious choice once you get past your first qualifying stay.
The first stay earns no bonus, so the promotion is much more useful for members who expect to have at least two IHG stays before the end of the year. After that, the bonus is uncapped.
Register now even if you’re not sure you’ll use it, since only stays completed after registration qualify.
