Refreshed Chase Air Canada Aeroplan Card
Today, Chase and Aeroplan announced the refreshed Chase Air Canada Aeroplan Card. The new benefits, which take effect today for both new and existing cardmembers, include automatic Aeroplan 25K Status with no spending requirement. With Aeroplan 25K Status, cardmembers enjoy Priority Check-In and Priority Boarding (Zone 2), and they will also receive 5 eUpgrade Credits each year as a Core Benefit, with the ability to earn more through Milestone Benefits and eligible Air Canada Flight Pass activities.
Cardmembers can also earn up to 5X total Aeroplan points on Air Canada purchases: 3X points on Air Canada purchases made with the card, plus an additional 2X Aeroplan points from Air Canada on eligible flights when traveling as an Aeroplan 25K member. Cardmembers also receive Star Alliance® Recognition.
The refreshed card comes with a big welcome bonus of up 115,000 points, although the full bonus requires $20,000 in spending. There’s also bad news. The annual fee is jumping to $195 and 3X at grocery stores and restaurants with drop to 2X. Let’s go over the full details.
Welcome Bonus
- For a limited time, new Chase Air Canada Aeroplan cardmembers can earn up to 115,000 bonus Aeroplan points:
- 75,000 bonus Aeroplan points after spending $4,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening
- Plus an additional 40,000 bonus Aeroplan points after spending $20,000 on purchases in the first 12 months from account opening.

- UPDATED: Earn 2X Aeroplan points for each dollar spent on dining at restaurants, including takeout and eligible delivery, grocery stores and gas station purchases. Earn 1X Aeroplan point for each dollar spent on all other purchases.
- ENDING: The 10% bonus for transferring Ultimate Rewards points to Aeroplan will end after 12/31/2026.

Points can be redeemed for any available Air Canada seat, now with a 15% discount on eligible Air Canada flight redemptions for cardmembers. Aeroplan points can also be redeemed on more than 50 partner airlines providing access to more than 1,300 destinations worldwide. For example, an economy flight within North America starts at just 6,000 Aeroplan points. Beyond flights, Aeroplan points can also be redeemed for hotels, rental cars and Air Canada Vacations packages.
