Chase IHG Transfer Bonus: Get Up to 100% More Points
Chase has launched a new transfer bonus to IHG One Rewards, giving Ultimate Rewards members the opportunity to double their points for a limited time.
From July 15 through July 30, 2026, members receive a 100% bonus when transferring Chase Ultimate Rewards points to IHG One Rewards. That means every 1,000 Chase points transferred will become 2,000 IHG points.
After the early-bird offer ends, Chase will continue offering a smaller 70% transfer bonus from July 31 through August 31, 2026. During that period, every 1,000 Chase points transferred will become 1,700 IHG points.
Transfer Bonus Details
- 100% bonus: July 15 through July 30, 2026
- 70% bonus: July 31 through August 31, 2026
- Standard transfer ratio: 1:1
- Transfers must be completed during the applicable promotional window through the Chase Ultimate Rewardsยฎ portal
- Bonus points will be deposited by IHG after the transfer is completed
Chase Ultimate Rewards points normally transfer to IHG One Rewards at a 1:1 ratio. Eligible cardholders can initiate transfers through the Ultimate Rewards portal, and transfers are not irreversible once submitted. With this bonus you will get 2 IHG points for every 1 Chase points that you transfer.
Is It Worth Transferring?
A 100% bonus is much better than the standard transfer ratio and is one of the strongest IHG transfer offers we have seen. However, IHG points are generally worth only about 0.4 cents each. That means that this is not a good use of Chase points which are worth about 1.5 cents on average.
The promotion is more useful when you already have a specific IHG redemption in mind and the doubled points produce better value than booking through Chase or transferring to another travel partner.
Guruโs Wrap-Up
The 100% early-bird bonus is clearly the better part of this promotion, so members with an immediate use for IHG points should complete their transfers by July 30. The bonus drops to 70% on July 31 and remains available through the end of August.
As always, confirm award availability and calculate the total number of points required before transferring, since Chase transfers cannot normally be reversed.
I think most people will pass on this promo.
